We have 4 students celebrating their birthday in the summer. I would like wish Kalpana a very happy July birthday on the 27th and very happy August birthdays to Merle on the 5th and Aiwa and Davis on the 13th. I hope you all have fun celebrating in the warm summer sunshine!
If you wish to continue learning throughout the summer here are a few websites that you can visit to print worksheets or play games to practice mathematics. You should also continue to read each day using books from home, the library, Raz-kids, or one of the other apps available in the student portal. I have included a link below that has several writing prompts to guide you with daily journal writing. It is important to continue to practice skills throughout the summer months as well as having fun outside and getting lots of physical exercise. I am looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces in September. Have fun!
We are in our final week of distance learning and your final week of grade 2! Last week I posted literacy and math activities for you to work on at your own pace over the next couple of weeks. This week you can continue to work through these activities. Later in the week I will post some websites that you can continue to work on or to print extra worksheets if you would like to continue practising your academic skills throughout the summer.
This week we will meet on Wednesday and Thursday morning to present your Social Studies projects and to say goodbye. Please check your email for the invitations from Mme Wood. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me. Have a wonderful week, Mrs. Reed We are in our last two weeks of distance learning as a class. This week I am posting a variety of fun activities for you to choose which ones that you would like to work on over the next two weeks. You can work on them all or choose a few to spend more time working on. Enjoy! We will have 2 more Google meetings as a class. They will be on Wednesday, June 17 and either on Wednesday June 24 or Thursday, June 25. Keep an eye on your email for the invites from Mme. Wood. If you have any questions please email me. June is National Indigenous History Month. Below are links to some online stories and activities to celebrate and learn more about Indigenous culture. We wish Murilo a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY June 14! I hope you have fun celebrating with your family.
We only have a couple more weeks of distance learning to go. This week in math we will be focusing on a review of concepts that we have learned in grade 2. I tried to make things fun to keep you engaged for the next couple of weeks. In Language, we are going to go on a virtual field trip to a pond and do activities about life in a pond. If you have a pond near your house I encourage you to visit it with your parents and see if you can find some of the wildlife that is featured in the virtual field trip.
We will not be having a Google meet this week as Mme Wood and I will be at the school packing up your belongings to be picked up. Your parents will receive more information about when they can pick things up at the school. We will see you all again next week. Have a great week of learning and if you have any questions please email me. Mrs. Reed |
